York, England - Business Trip with a View!

October 2007

I had the good luck to be sent to northeast England to pursue a contract in the area on two occasions in October. Who can complain? My dashing British colleague escorted me along on the wrong side of the road and our many wrong turns let to some delightful sites along the way.

We stayed in the town of York, home to the Minster Cathedral (see pic below), cobblestoned streets/old crooked buildings called the Shambles, and the Viking museum (complete with authentic aromas... I haven't tried it yet!). On our only free evening we heading north to my colleague's home town of Durham where I had a brief tour of the town, boys school, cathedral and castle while eating fish, chips, and scraps with gravy! (Don't ask...)

Wish you'd been there!
