The Hartford's Day in Nuernberg
28-29 January 2006The Hartford family came to visit me in Nuernberg, bringing AJ this time along with his friend, Jeremy, and of course, Blitz, the Jack Russell! We visited, cooked, and ate Saturday evening. Yet another late night meal at Tiffany's Inn & Bistro, but oh how yummy!
On Sunday we headed in the sunny, but cold weather to the Altstadt for some touring. That is, after a stop at the Hexenhaeusla for the usual meal of local fare!! We started with the Berg, exploring their armory museum, stopping at the castle's 50m deep well, and then climbing to the top of the 30m tower. Wow!
We finished the tour with a brief walk past the old Rathaus, St. Sebald cathedral, and to the Hauptmarkt before winding our way through the cobbled streets and back to the old city wall. We returned to the house to find two wagging tails greeting us! A quick snack of leftover fudge pie brought the visit to a close. Until next time guys! See you again soon!
